March ‘25 Committee Meeting Update
Dear Members,
On Monday 17th, your Committee convened the March Committee Meeting. Here is a brief summary of that Meeting:
ATR Lake Mountain Sprint - Debrief
The Committee heard a debrief from its members who attended this successful event.
Congratulations must be offered to ATR for some dynamic thinking and innovation, allowing them to run an almost complete event in the context of some very challenging permit constraints due to the high winds, temperatures and impending fire threats.
TRCAA Strategic Plan
The Committee has now completed a new Strategic Plan for TRCAA.
A summary of the new Strategic Plan will be emailed to you separately, including a link to the full Plan on the TRCAA website.
Feedback on the Plan from interested Members is welcomed.
Targa Tasmania Coronial Inquest Update
TRCAA continues to monitor the progress of the Coronial Inquest, but there have been no developments in the last month. There is no defined timeline for the coroner to release his report.
Membership Update - Expired Members
The Committee is working hard to engage with expired TRCAA Members to encourage them to rejoin and support us to support your sport.
It is critically important to retain and grow our numbers, because your Membership gives TRCAA weight and credibility to be at the table and influence the Coronial Inquest, the event providers and the sanctioning bodies to keep our sport alive and worthwhile.
If any of your friends or associates have let their membership lapse, please encourage them to rejoin.
Financial Update
TRCAA Treasurer David Cooper provided an update on TRCAA financials to the Committee.

Next meeting
The Committee’s next meeting will be held on Monday 19 May 2025, when Brittany Wilson from ATR is scheduled to join our meeting for a discussion on all things ATR related, so if you have anything specific you would like us to ask please reply to this email and let me know.
We also hope to discuss the Coronial Inquest although we note that the timing of issue of the Coroner’s report is not known, so this may not be possible.
