July ‘25 Committee Meeting Update

On Monday 21st, your Committee convened the July TRCAA Committee Meeting. Here is a brief summary of that Meeting:

Targa Tasmania Coronial Inquest Update
As communicated to our Members since our last meeting, the Coroner's Report was released on 19th June.

Member Feedback on 2025 Targa Tasmania Regulations
Thank you again to the many Members who provided their valuable feedback to TRCAA, which was subsequently shared with Targa.
We have since received a response from Mark Perry, a summary of which will be provided to Members soon.
Targa Tasmania Coronial Inquest Legal Fund
Following the release of the Coroner's Report, which also marked the likely end of TRCAA's legal expenditure, we emailed all Donors seeking direction for the remaining balance of this Fund.
In an overwhelmingly positive response, 93% of our Donors elected to keep the money with TRCAA to support future projects; a total of $26,792.
Sincere thanks again to all who Donated to the Legal Fund and those who have elected for TRCAA to keep their investment in the future of tarmac rallying.
The Future of TRCAA and Tarmac Rally
Future directions for TRCAA and the sports of tarmac rallying were discussed again in detail.
In accordance with our Strategic Plan (attached), we will continue to work towards the Growth of tarmac rallying, through Advocacy for Competitors with Safety as a core tenet.
We want tarmac rallying to grow again and regain the size and significance of pre-Covid days.
To this end, we will continue to work towards our Goals to achieve this. Stay tuned for future initiatives in this space.
Membership Update - Expired Members
The Committee is working hard to engage with expired TRCAA Members to encourage them to rejoin and support us to support your sport.
It remains critically important to retain and grow our numbers, because your Membership gives TRCAA weight and credibility to engage with the event providers and the sanctioning bodies of our sport.
Thank you to those Members who have renewed their Membership. If any of your friends or associates have let their membership lapse, please encourage them to rejoin.
Financial Update
TRCAA Treasurer David Cooper provided an update on TRCAA financials to the Committee.

13-14 September - ATR - Snowy River Sprint, Lakes Entrance Vic
18-21 September - Tarmac Events WA - Tarmac West Rally, Perth WA
25-26 October - ATR - The Great Tarmac Rally, Marysville Vic
16-21 November - Targa Australia - Targa Tasmania, Tasmania
21-23 November - Adelaide Rally, Adelaide SA
Please check the relevant event websites for details. Your Committee wishes members competing at Tarmac West and ATR events in the coming months much success for a safe and fun event!
NSSCC have not yet released their 25/26 Tarmac Rally Sprint dates as yet, but we will include them here when known.
